The growth of a portrait

Laurel Linh demanded to spring off the page. Once she decided to appear, she dictated the process! She insisted I keep going until her portrait was finished and it was a late night for us both.

This little boy took a long time to get right and I’m not sure that I captured him 100%. He was so full of life and excitement but I had only the tiniest photo of him and none of the details were clear, so I did the best I could.
