Hello, I’m Heather and this is one of my dogs, Rosie. I love doing portraits for my clients. I enjoy the quiet that envelopes me when I am holding a pencil or a brush, putting my marks on the paper and hoping I will get it right. I don’t always get it right, but that is the challenge; keep drawing until it I do. I have reached an age where time is important and doing something creative seems to slow it down a little. That’s a very good excuse to get out my pencils.
I like to work from photographs and the more good, clean photographs I have of the subject the better. It’s hard to get an energetic child or animal to sit still!
